Raw Food Diet – Day 11

Posted by Teodor Lazar

Wow, I’ve been on the Raw Food Diet for 11 days and I feel like a champ!  I feel like I’ve been living in the dark all this time and now someone has suddenly flipped on the light switch.  The mental clarity is just amazing.  My brain power has increased, my energy is positive and stable.  Another plus is that I hardly have any negative emotions come on throughout the day.  This morning I was cut off in traffic.

Although I don’t normally get mad, the other driver would probably still have irked me on my standard diet.  It has happened before and I was irked.  This morning, I felt fine and the incident didn’t even register as much as a blip on my emotional radar.  I just looked at the car as though I was looking at the sky.  Just observing it with no negative judgment at all.

I’ve noticed that things that would normally irritate me have stopped bothering me.  I’m not as emotional about things.  I don’t mean that I  had mood swings or that I broke down and cried every 10 minutes before I went raw.  I just mean that in the past, during a typical day I would have some negative emotion come about.  This  usually only lasted a couple of seconds.  The emotion would either come from an event or another person’s energy.

Two excellent examples: someone cutting in front of me in line or someone stealing my parking spot.  They are small incidents that normally cause small blips of negativity in my system.  For some people, the emotions vanish as quickly as they appear.  For others, the emotions infest them and fester with negativity,  possessing them for days or even weeks.  I’m in the former category.  So far though, I have not been having even the blips.  I am in a serene state of tranquility most of the time.  Like a Buddhist monk or a Zen master.

If your emotions are sometimes erratic, it might be due to the toxic processed dead food you’ve been eating. So instead of eating dead food, why don’t you just go to the grocery store and buy some nice fruit and vegetables. And then get on the raw food party bus to Happytown.  Next stops: feeling great, followed by unlimited energy, mental clarity, and intense joy.

Breakfast

Today, I splurged and bought some organic raspberries.  If you know your organic produce, you also know that these are not cheap in proportion to the caloric value they provide.  But hey, I’m worth it.  I also ate organic bananas and pears, but I have those on the regular, mostly because of their attractive price.  Speaking of which, if this website has added value to your life in any way, feel free to make a donation here so that I can add more raspberry pictures in the future.  ;)

  2. organic pears (532g)
  3. organic raspberries (199g)

I’m trying to eat more simple meals.  Something I don’t have to cut too much.  I will see how I feel in the coming days, but so far this is working out pretty well for me.

Lunch

Lunch today made me feel kind of full.  I don’t usually feel bloated on the raw food diet, but I felt I ate a little too much today.  This is around 4 lbs that I ate in one meal.  I can’t believe it either.

Pre-Dinner Smoothie

I’m trying to do two green smoothies a day now.  I drank this one before dinner.

  1. green smoothie:  organic bananas (349g), organic baby spinach (82g), 2 1/2 cups water

Dinner

For dinner I was craving a salad so that is what I made, I’m trying to trying to eat more greens.  I read it’s vital to the raw food diet over the long term because that is where most of the nutrients come from.

Vitals

Weight: I’ve gone down through the 180 lbs mark.  I’m down to 179.8 lbs.  At least it’s only .3 lbs which hopefully means that the weight loss is slowing down.

Body Temperature: My temperature today was 97.7 °F.

pH levels: The pH level today was still 7.25 pH.  I wonder if it will get more alkaline before the trial is over.

Blood Pressure: Systolic today was at 128.  This seems to be improving somewhat.  I really hope to drop this down by the end of the experiment.  Diastolic was at 67.

Endurance: I finished my mile with energy to spare.  I felt good, like I could run more, but I just went and worked out.

Strength: I’m noticing improved strength from this diet over my normal diet.  I went up 5 lbs so far and in a couple of days I plan to increase the weight, since the 5 lbs weight increase feels lighter to me now.

Cognitive Capacity: I was more mentally alert today than I have been in a while.  Everything was clear and moving through my mind with speed.
